Create a Slogan During a Website Optimisation Service
How New Slogans Add an Extra Touch to Your Website’s Memorability
I get different queries with every new client that I get as a copywriter and SEO strategist.
“I want you to create a slogan!” (clients who don’t have a slogan on their website)
“I’d like you to go through my web and optimize the website so that it gets more leads from my targeted audience!”
These above are some of the queries. I picked them, because I made them the topic of this blog article.
Most of my clients want to upgrade their websites. They are basically not very happy with the course of things after they have published their website.
Their websites do not get the desired results within 6 months’ time.
So, when I look at those websites in detail, they very often lack these things:
The website is not SEO-optimised.
The website has no slogan in the hero section (hero section- the upmost position on a website, when it loads on your first visit, and before you scroll further down).
Their website do not have a clear structure (clear website structure is important for AI Overviews and AI search!)
etc.
In this copywriting blog, I’ll focus on No. 2 and how creating a slogan sometimes makes the website optimization process more focus-oriented and relevant.
Why? Because the slogan guides you along the way-
It gives you the direction you steer towards.
A New Slogan Paves a New Way for a Website
Showing You How I Created a Slogan Amid Website Optimisation
So, you’ve seen what most websites lack.
And it’s then that I get a call from clients to do something to bring the website back “among the living”, because nothing much happened since the website got published.
This bringing the website back to life also means increasing website traffic.
In this example below, I’m showing you what it took to infuse life into the website of my client renting luxury villas on the Adriatic:
In this video, I’m showing you how I created a new slogan for a client renting luxury villas on the Adriatic. This was included in the website optimization procedure.
A New Slogan Around the Business’ Logo
If you have watched the video, you must have seen that black key symbol up above the main heading on the website’s hero section.
It’s the logo of my client’s business.
So, around that symbol I created a new slogan, which before the new version said: “Unlock your dream”.
This is the old design of the website before the website optimization that I did together with creating a new slogan. The project included homepage optimisation( I made the heading structure clearer, reduced the image sizes etc.)
What was wrong with the old slogan?
The process behind the new slogan
What I didn’t like about the sound of the old slogan, was the word “unlock”.
It was obviously steeped in AI language: all the verbs beginning with the prefix “un-” (as in “unravel”, “unearth” etc.)
How I made it better?
I played with the word “key”.
What can you do with the key that will lead you to experience a world a luxury?
You can “grab” it.
“Grab” adds a bit of brutality, though. Brutality that doesn’t go together with luxury , exuberance, elegance, sophistication… These words depict the kind of world my client’s customers/guests will inhabit when they book a stay at one of the Adriatic villas.
But the verb “grab” also adds an element of haste. Be quick! Take control over your life! Don’t get this opportunity slip away!
And then I thought:
“If I add “grab” and there’s “key” coming after it, what to put into the remaining part of the sentence?”
That sentence is clearly a call to action (like the button in this blog article in the introductory bit).
So there you have the sentence now. At the same time a call to action:
“Grab your key to limitless luxury!”
Here’s the entire layout of the website. You can see the new headings that I did while I SEO-optimized the homepage aling with the new slogan.
Just beneath the new slogan is the Main Heading (H1) which has one of the main keywords inside it. The main keyword included the location: Croatia.
So, it’s all there in the hero section:
The benefit you get when you book inside the new slogan
Where the service is provided
Stunning visuals to tempt the potential visitor
The call to action - to make it possible for the visitor to book instantly
